A man in his 20s has died following a fatal crash on the Old Tramore Road in Co Waterford.

The incident happened on the L1020 in Ballycoardra yesterday at around 2.20pm.

The man, who was a passenger in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body was taken to University Hospital Waterford for a post-mortem examination.

The driver of the car and another passenger, two men also aged in their 20s, were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

An examination of the scene was carried out following the crash and gardaí have appealed for information.

Anyone who was travelling in the area between 2pm and 2.45pm and may have dash-cam footage are asked to make it available to gardaí.
