Gardaí search Limerick wetlands in missing person investigation

Gardaí are conducting a search at a section of wetlands along the River Shannon in Limerick city as part of an investigation into the whereabouts of a missing 27-year-old man.

Luke Price has been missing since 14 January this year.

He had travelled from Portlaoise to Limerick Colbert train station that day.

Mr Price then socialised for a time in town and went to O'Curry Street with a friend.

He left there at around 9pm and went in the direction of the Dock Road, but has not been seen since and his whereabouts remain a mystery.

A number of searches have taken place since his disappearance involving members of his family, gardai, search and rescue teams from Tipperary, the R115 helicopter and the Valencia Coast Guard.

However, there has been no sign of him and his family remain very concerned about his welfare.

Gardaí say they are carrying out the searches as part of an ongoing missing persons investigation.

Mr Price is described as being around 1.82m tall with a slim build, auburn hair and blue eyes.

He was wearing a black coat, blue jeans and black boots when last seen.
