The Defence Forces will join the search for missing Kerry farmer Michael Gaine tomorrow morning.

The 56-year-old has now been missing for 11 days.

In a statement, the Defence Forces said that "50 personnel from 1 Brigade will be deployed in an Aid to the Civil Power (ATCP) operation to assist in this search operation".

The search will include troops from the 12th Infantry Battalion in Limerick and the 3rd Infantry Battalion based in Kilkenny.

An extensive search has been ongoing since Mr Gaine was reported missing near Kenmare earlier this month.
