A person has died following a car crash near Glenflesk village in Co Kerry this morning.
The single-vehicle crash occurred on the Cork side of Glenflesk village on the N22 Killarney to Cork Road at around 7.30am.
The driver, who was the sole occupant of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are examining the scene. The local coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course.
Traffic diversions were in place earlier today but the N22 has since re-opened to traffic.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Additionally, they are requesting those with camera footage, including motorists with dash-cam footage from the area at the time, to make it available to them.
