A man in his 30s has died following a crash in Co Clare in the early hours of this morning.
The man was driving at Kilmurry McMahon in Kilrush when the crash occurred.
The road remains closed this afternoon while a technical examination is being carried out by gardaí.
Local diversions are currently in place.
The local coroner has been notified and arrangements will be made for a post-mortem examination.
Gardaí are appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 3am and 7am are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
