Almost 50 events are taking place during Culture Night in Co Clare, displaying the wide variety of music, poetry, dance and storytelling traditions that are at the heart of the county's artistic and cultural mix.
A special organ recital by Dr Warren Symes will take place at the 800-year-old historic St Flannan’s Cathedral in Killaloe.
Dr Symes has been playing music since he became a chorister at St Mary’s Cathedral in Co Limerick as a young boy.
He has performed at a number of venues across the UK, including at Westminster and Liverpool cathedrals.
The Culture Night programme includes a performance of a selection of movie themes as well as water music by Handel, and a special performance of one of his favourites, Danny Boy, in the lakeside location.
He will also give a short talk in addition to the organ recital on the 120-year-old organ which has 1,500 pipes.
Two exhibitions take place in the east Clare village of Tulla.
Tulla Skies is an exhibition of astrophotography, captured over the past eight years on the east Clare hills and lakes and is on display at the old bank building.
A demonstration of the intricate work of making copper jewellery takes place at La Petite Galerie in Curtin’s Lane in Ennis, and new communities to the town will display aspects of their own traditional music art and song fostering multiculturalism and diversity at CBS primary school.

Culture Night in Limerick
Around 70 events take place across Limerick city and county exploring its medieval roots, historical landmarks and hub of arts spaces on Culture Night.
One of the city's oldest streets St Nicholas Street, where King John's Castle is located, and which has a history of intrique and folklore dating back to the Treaty of 1691, is being turned into a Storytelling Street with re-enactments and mini plays. A Bean an tí will lead the way from the fireplace window to King John's Castle.
The popular band Hermitage Green are launching a new album at the Treaty Brewery and King John's Castle on Nicholas Street during a festive gathering with music and food.
There is a drum and dance workshop at Wickham Way, and a gathering of musical performances and food excellence at Limerick’s Milk Market, always a lively venue on Culture Night.

Culture Night: What's on in the west and northwest
Limerick’s Hands on Harp will give a number of recitals at the market, and will also offer the opportunity to play and learn more about this traditional Irish instrument.
The Hunt Museum will host jewellery makers showing their crafts in collaboration with the Council of Irish Fashion Designers, underscoring the fascinating and historical jewellery antiques which are part of the Hunt collection.
A live concert hosted by Sionna at King John's Castle will feature the best of local and national live electronic music.
In county Limerick, exhibitions and performances will take place at a number of locations.
People can get up close and personal with the Book of Kells in Knockainey, while there are Friday club capers in Rathkeale. Friar's Gate Theatre has music, poetry and stories from a seanchaí.
