Lufthansa Technik Turbine Shannon (LTTS) is to become the new sponsor for all post primary GAA competitions in Limerick and Clare.
LTTS specialises in the repair of components for aircraft engine turbines and has been operating in the region for more than 30 years.
The three-year sponsorship agreement covers all post primary boys and girls football, hurling, camogie and ladies Gaelic football in the county.
To mark the announcement of what is the firm's first ever GAA sponsorship, a 400,000-piece model Lego aircraft engine made a 'flying visit’ from Germany to the company’s Shannon base.
The Lufthansa ‘Leap’ Engine took six months and 400,000 individual pieces of Lego to develop and weighs almost half a tonne.

Pat Foley, LTTS CEO and Managing Director said: "We recognise the crucial role that sport plays in young people’s lives and the extended value it brings to communities and counties, and we are proud to be able to play our part, in partnership with Limerick GAA."
Mike O’Riordain, Secretary of Limerick GAA said: "By partnering with Limerick GAA at schools level, LTTS is helping to lay down strong foundations for future players, future leaders and future team players, across every walk of life."
In addition to Limerick, LTTS is also to become the title sponsor of all post primary schools GAA competitions in Co Clare.
