A round-the-clock bus service is to be introduced between Limerick city and Shannon Airport, the National Transport Authority has announced.
The 343 Bus Éireann route from Limerick Bus Station to the airport will operate on a 24/7 basis with services every 20 minutes during peak times and every 30 minutes at off-peak times on weekdays.
There will be an hourly service between midnight and 4am.
The changes will come into effect on Sunday 25 August.
Bus Éireann and the NTA have said "100% of timetabled services" will use fully accessible buses with low floor access.
The NTA also said that a number of other services in Clare will also be enhanced, including the 330 route to Ennis and Newmarket-on-Fergus, and the 316 and 317 services connecting to Sixmilebridge.
"Bus Éireann is delighted to introduce these improved services between Limerick, Shannon and Ennis, significantly increasing transport options for passengers," Bus Éireann CEO Stephen Kent said.
NTA Chief Executive Anne Graham said the "revised network will operate at a higher frequency which will benefit communities across the region who want to use public transport to get to work, school or attend leisure activities in the area".
The change has also been welcomed by Niall Kearns, Airport Director at The Shannon Airport Group.
