The death has taken place of long-time music promoter and businessman Vince Power, who was from Co Waterford.
Mr Power was based in London for many years and was the founder of the Mean Fiddler music promotion and event management group.
He was originally from Kilmacthomas in Co Waterford and was aged 76 when he died at the weekend.
He ran the Fleadh Mór music event in Tramore in 1993 which attracted many international stars and was attended by thousands.
Mr Power was also a shareholder in Beat 102-103 radio and was involved with U2, Independent News and Media and Tramore Racecourse over the years.
Among the festivals he established, worked on or helped to establish are events in Reading, Leeds, Glastonbury and Homelands and in the United States.
He sold his stake in the Mean Fiddler in 2005 and set up the Vince Power Music Group.
Mr Power lived in London since moving away from Ireland in his late teens and had eight children.
He was made a CBE in 2006.
