A motorcyclist has died following a road collision in Co Limerick.
The crash, involving a car and a motorcycle, happened on the R515 in Kilmallock at around 2pm.
Gardaí say that the motorcyclist, a man aged in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was taken to University Hospital Limerick.
The driver of the car, a man in his 40s, was treated for injuries sustained in the incident.
The road where the crash happened is closed for a technical examination and local diversions are in place.
An appeal has been issued and gardaí have asked that any road users who were travelling in the area between 1.30pm and 2.15pm and may have dash cam footage to make it available to them.
