A 41-year-old man accused of murdering his wife at their home in Cork has been sent forward for trial at the Central Criminal Court.
Regin Parithapara Rajan appeared before Cork District Court by video link from prison.
He is charged with the murder of 38-year-old Deepa Purthiyezhuth Dinamani at Cardinal Court, Wilton in Cork city on 14 July 2023.
Sergeant John Kelleher told Judge Mary Dorgan the State had served the book of evidence on solicitor Eddie Burke on behalf of his client.
Judge Dorgan extended the certificate of free legal aid to cover a senior and junior counsel.
Ms Dinamani, the mother of a five-year-old boy, was from Kerala in south-west India.
A chartered accountant, she moved to Cork three months before her death to take up a position as a senior fund manager with a financial services firm.
