A competitor has died following a collision at the Clare Stages Rally, Motorsport Ireland has said.
He has been named as 37-year-old Damian Fleming.
He was a passenger in a car that was involved in a collision with another vehicle in the Glencolumbkille area of Carron at around 1.30pm yesterday.
Another man, who was the driver of the second car, was transferred to University Hospital Limerick to be treated for injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.
Two other males, a driver and a passenger in each car, were uninjured.
The crash happened during the rally's fourth stage and an on-site team were first to attend before more emergency services arrived.
In a statement, Motorsport Ireland said Mr Fleming, a native of Kilcummin, Co Kerry, was a "highly experience codriver who had competed in over 150 events since 2006".

A garda spokesperson said that the man was pronounced dead at the scene and that his body was taken to University Hospital Limerick for a post-mortem examination.
The road remained closed yesterday evening and local diversions were in place.
The spokesperson for Motorsport Ireland extended their sympathies to the family of the deceased, as well as members of Clare Motor Club who had organised the event.
Killarney District and Motor Club has also paid tribute to Mr Fleming, and added that their thoughts are with his family and friends as well as those who were at the scene today.
Motorsport Ireland said it will conduct a full investigation into the crash.
Gardaí have appealed for any witnesses to contact them at Ennis Garda Station on 065 684 8100, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
