A man has died after falling into the sea from cliffs in Kilkee, Co Clare.
Emergency services rushed to the scene when the alarm was raised shortly after 3pm.
The man, thought to be in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is believed he had been walking along the cliffs with his daughter when he slipped.
The Kilkee unit of the Irish Coast Guard attended the scene, along with the Shannon-based Rescue 115 helicopter.
