A man has died following a house fire in Co Tipperary this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene near the village of Ballingarry shortly before noon.
Firefighters put out a fire which was discovered at a detached bungalow, but the body of a man was found at the scene.
It's understood he was in his 40s and alone at the time.
A forensic examination of the scene has taken place to establish the cause of the blaze, which left extensive damage to the house.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out on the man's body.
It is not thought at this time that there were any suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident, pending a full investigation.
The house is located in a rural area near the village of Ballingarry, which is close to Thurles and also close to the Tipperary-Kilkenny border.
