A man has been arrested after cannabis herb worth around €220,000 was seized during search operations in Co Cork yesterday.
Gardaí said that "following an interaction with gardaí on uniformed mobile patrol in the Bantry area" at around 1pm yesterday, a man in his 30s was arrested and held at Bantry Garda Station.
A quantity of cannabis was found on the man following his arrest.
Cannabis herb was also discovered during a number of follow-up searches in Bantry.
The man was later released without charge and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
