An investigation is under way into the death of man following a fire at a house in Roscrea, Co Tipperary in the early hours of this morning.
Gardaí and the fire service were alerted to the blaze at around 4am.
It was brought under control and the body of a man was found inside the property at Pintown, Cloncracken.
Gardaí say they are trying to establish the cause of the fire and all circumstances surrounding the death of the man are being investigated.
The body was taken to University Hospital Limerick where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.
