A pedestrian who was hit by a truck in Killarney, Co Kerry, two days ago has died in hospital.

The collision happened at the Cleeney Roundabout in Killarney at around 8.30am on Friday.

Gardaí are renewing their appeal for witnesses, after receiving the report of "a collision involving a truck and a female pedestrian" aged in her 50s at around 8.40am on Friday.

The pedestrian was taken to Cork University Hospital with what were described as serious injuries, and was pronounced dead earlier today.

The driver of the truck was not injured following the collision.
