Two teenagers are being questioned by gardaí in relation to an armed robbery at a bank ATM in Waterford city shortly after 8pm last night.
A 28-year-old man was approached by four youths while withdrawing money from the cash machine at an AIB branch on Paddy Brown's Road.
It is understood one of the youths was armed with a knife and threats were made to the victim that he would be stabbed if he did not withdraw money and hand it over.
The man's phone and wallet were also taken.
Gardaí arrived at the scene and two of the suspects were arrested and taken to Waterford Garda Station where they are being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
The victim was not injured and his mobile phone was recovered.
Gardaí are appealing to witnesses to contact them.
