A woman and man being questioned on suspicion of murder in Cork remain in garda custody.
The two were picked up at an address in the city yesterday as part of the ongoing garda investigation into the murder of 55-year-old Paul Jones at his rented home on the Bandon Road in the city.
Mr Jones' body was found by his son in the house with stab wounds last Saturday morning.
The woman, who is in her early 50s, is being questioned at Togher Garda Station. The man, who is in his 40s, is being detained at Mayfield Garda Station.
The house and immediate area remain cordoned off.
Last night a garda scenes-of-crime team were continuing their forensic examination of the inside of the house.
