Modular housing manufacturer LMC Group is to take over the former Procter & Gamble factory in Nenagh, Co Tipperary, and is planning to expand its workforce by up to 200 people.

The company is based at an industrial site in Birdhill, Co Tipperary.

It currently employs 60 people at Birdhill but demands for its products have meant it will expand its workforce over the next three years.

The company plans to move from building modular rooms to full turn-key housing solutions over next 12 months in their new Nenagh facility.

Local Labour TD Alan Kelly said the company had been planning to expand in Limerick but had been convinced to instead invest in the new site in Nenagh.
