A man in his 20s has been arrested after a woman was threatened with a knife in an incident in Cork last night.
It is understood the woman was approached by a man, after she stopped her car at a set of traffic lights in Douglas at around 11.10pm.
She was ordered to get out of the car, but it is believed the man was startled when the traffic lights turned green and he fled on foot towards Willow Park.
The Garda Dog Unit was brought in to help with the search and a man was later found in a ditch by Garda dog Lazar.
Gardaí say he was arrested following a struggle and is being held at Togher Garda Station.
