A 53km-long series of walking, cycling and watersport trails has been officially opened in Co Tipperary.
The Suir Blueway runs from Cahir to Carrick-on-Suir and incorporates a whitewater canoe slalom course in Clonmel.
The project has involved investment of more than €5.6 million and the opening marks the culmination of seven years of planning and development.
The blueway was officially opened by Sport Ireland CEO John Treacy.
The former Olympian said: "This is a wonderful natural amenity, which will provide an excellent base for outdoor activity and recreation for both the local community here in Tipperary as well as visitors from all over Ireland and overseas."
