Around 250 radio producers and documentary makers from 30 countries are spending the week in east Cork at a conference on storytelling.
The conference is being hosted by RTÉ and is organised in conjunction with the European Broadcasting Union, an alliance of public service media.
The International Feature Conference is in its 45th year and the event, taking place at the Castlemartyr Resort, has attracted more delegates than any previous hosting.
The conference is celebrating factual radio content: 30 radio documentaries are being aired and critiqued over the course of the week.
Keynote speakers include BBC Special Correspondent and Africa Editor Fergal Keane; comedian, satirist and broadcaster Oliver Callan; and best-selling author Louise O'Neill.
It is only the third time that the International Feature Conference has taken place in Ireland.
Contributors travelled from China, Canada and throughout Europe for the event, which opened on Sunday and ends later today.
Callan's Kicks, a political comedy show, has been running on RTÉ Radio 1 for more than a decade. How does it work? Oliver Callan talks to RTÉ's Southern Editor Paschal Sheehy at this week's EBU International Feature Conference at Castlemartyr.
