Man dies in incident on Tipperary farm

Investigations are underway after a man died while working with machinery on a farm in Co Tipperary this morning. 

Gardaí said the 47-year-old man was using a digger on a pig farm when the incident occurred at around 8.30am. 

It is understood the digger was struck by a falling tree. 

The incident occurred at a farm in Rathcabbin, Borrisokane. 

The man was pronounced dead at scene.

The Health and Safety Authority is aware of the incident.
