A man in his 70s has died following a three-car collision on the M7 motorway in Co Tipperary.
The collision happened at around 2pm near Birdhill.
Two other people have been brought to University Hospital Limerick following the incident.
Gardaí and emergency services are at the scene and diversions are in place through Nenagh.
The southbound lanes of the M7 between Junction 26 Nenagh and Junction 27 Birdhill are expected to remain closed overnight.
Traffic delays can be expected.
