Investigation under way after man's body found in Limerick

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a man’s body in Limerick.

The body of the man in his 40s was discovered at a flat on Little O'Curry Street shortly before 6pm this evening.

The scene has been preserved and the State Pathologist’s office has been notified and a post mortem examination is due to be carried out tomorrow.

The Garda Technical Bureau is also due to attend the scene.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or to anyone who may have seen anything unusual or suspicious in or around Little O'Curry Street to contact Henry Street Garda Station on 061 212400, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
