A fire which broke out at the Naval Service base in Haulbowline, Co Cork has been extinguished.
The blaze was on the upper floor of a disused operations building and there were no casualties.
A spokesperson for the Naval Service said no lives were at risk during the blaze and and the surrounding area was evacuated as a precaution.
Two units of Carrigaline Fire Service attended at the scene and were assisted by a further three units from Midleton, Crosshaven and Cork, while Naval Service fire crews also tended the fire.
