An investigation is under way into the death of a man in Co Cork.
Gardaí have said the man was in his late 40s and was discovered at the foot of a stairwell in an apartment at Harbour Hill in Cobh at around 5pm this evening.
Emergency services were called to the scene, and the man was pronounced dead a short time later.
The Coroner and the State Pathologist have been notified and the scene is currently preserved.
Gardaí have said the course of their investigation will be determined by the results of a post-mortem examination.
They say the investigation is ongoing.
