Gardaí in Dungarvan, Co Waterford, are investigating after a man was stabbed in the early hours of this morning.
The man, who is in his 30s, was stabbed on Keating Street in the town just after 3am this morning.
It is understood the incident involved a row between two men.
The man was brought to University Hospital Waterford where his condition is described as critical but stable.
An 18-year-old man was arrested this morning and is being questioned at Dungarvan Garda station.
