Officials from the National Lottery have travelled to Bere Island in an effort to find the owner of a winning Euromillions Plus ticket worth €500,000.
The population of the west Cork island is 180.
The winning ticket - a quickpick - was sold at Mary Murphy's post office on Monday.
So far the winner has yet to come forward.
The National Lottery advises players to check their tickets and contact the National Lottery Prize Claims Team on 01 836 4444 if you have the winning ticket.
