A search took place today for a man who was swept into the sea while fishing in Co Clare yesterday.
Divers from local sub-aqua clubs searched the waters of Pulleen Bay near Doonbeg today.
They were joined in the search by the Garda Sub-Aqua Unit this afternoon.
The diving units were stood down earlier this evening and a cliff top search continued until last light.
The missing man, in his 40s, is from Russia and had been living in Limerick.
He was fishing with another man on the rocks at Pulleen Bay when he was swept into the sea yesterday morning.
The alarm was raised at 9am, and search and rescue teams were mobilised.
Fresh searches will begin again in the morning.
