A man in his 50s is being treated at Cork University Hospital for injuries received in a road crash near Sneem, Co Kerry.

The man, who was the driver of a truck which was in collision with a bus carrying Spanish tourists, is believed to be from the north Cork area.

He was seriously injured and was airlifted to hospital by Air Corps helicopter. 

There were no other injuries in the crash and the road where it happened, between Tahilla and Parknasilla on the Ring of Kerry, has re-opened to traffic.
