The pilot of a light aircraft which crashed in Co Waterford this afternoon has died.
The plane took off from Waterford Airport shortly before 4pm.
It crashed into trees in a field around 5km from Dungarvan.
Gardaí say the pilot was elderly and not from the local area.
The scene, around 200 metres from the main Dungarvan-Waterford road, remains preserved.
No-one else was on board the plane at the time.
