US President Donald Trump's plan to create a "Riviera of the Middle East" by taking over Gaza has been criticised and rejected by governments around the world.
In Gaza, 24-year-old Mohammed Abushaban expressed his anger at President Trump's words.
Speaking to RTE's Morning Ireland, he said: "They cannot just plan for our future.
"We can make the decision [about leaving Gaza], not you," Mr Abushaban said, referring to Mr Trump's plan to move Gazans to neighbouring Arab countries.
"It's our life. It's our land, it's our history, it's our things.
"You cannot talk about us. You cannot do whatever you want about for us.
"We can choose the best for us - even if it's not the best, we chose it," he said.

Mr Abushaban has been working as an information health assistant for the International Medical Corps since the war began.
He lives in his grandfather’s house with other family members including his little sister.
"We're not leaving. We're not following any plan. You cannot force me to leave this land, me or my little sister or other people."
Since the war began, Mr Abushaban said he is spending most of his time "trying to survive here actually".
Speaking of the plan to get Gazans like him to leave Gaza, Mr Abushaban said that his people had been living there for generations and generations and they would not be leaving.
"This land is my history. I was born here," he said.
