An investigation is under way after two men were seriously injured in an incident in Longford Town last night.
It is understood two men, who are in their 20s and 30s, were assaulted at around 9pm last night.
An area close to Teffia Park has been sealed off by gardai.
Both men are being treated at Regional Hospital Mullingar.
Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses, particularly any road users with camera footage (including dash-cam) and who were travelling in the area of Teffia Park at the time, to contact Longford Garda Station on 043 3350570, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
