A man in his 50s has died following a two-car collision in Co Louth yesterday.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene on the R215 at Newtownfane (Ardee Road), Dundalk, Co Louth, at around 2.50pm yesterday afternoon.
The driver of one of the cars, a man in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was removed to the Louth County Hospital and a post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course.
Another man, also in his 50s, was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital to be treated for non life-threatening injuries.

The coroner has been notified. A technical examination of the scene was carried out by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.
Any road users, who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time between 2:30pm and 3:00pm, are asked to make the footage available to gardaí.
