Two men have been arrested by gardaí investigating a fire at a building housing International Protection applicants in Co Louth.

The fire occurred at the IPAS centre in Drogheda on 31 October.

Gardaí said a man in his 20s was arrested in west Dublin as part of the investigation.

Another man, aged in his 40s, was arrested in Drogheda.

Both men are being held at a garda station in Co Louth.

Two other men have appeared before court charged with arson offences in connection with the fire.

Gardaí are continuing their appeal for information in relation to the fire.
