An investigation is under way after a man in his 60s was found with serious injuries in Drumlish, Co Longford over the weekend.

The man was found at about 7.30pm on 8 November and Taken to Regional Hospital Mullingar, where his condition is described as critical.

His last known movements were at Currabawn at about 7pm on 5 November.

A technical examination of the scene has been carried out and gardaí have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

They are also keen to speak to road users who may have camera footage from the Currabawn/Mohill Road area of Drumlish between 7pm on Wednesday 5 November and 6.30pm on Saturday 8 November.
