A woman in her 70s has died following a collision in Co Meath this morning.
The collision, involving a car and a truck, took place at Platin Terrace near Drogheda shortly after 10.30am.
The driver of the car, a woman in her 70s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Her body was removed to the mortuary at Our Lady's Hospital in Navan.
No other injuries were reported.
The road is closed for a technical examination and diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.
They particularly want to speak to road users who may have camera footage and were travelling in the area between 10am and 11am.
