Appeal for witnesses after two women seriously injured in Offaly crash

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after two women in their 20s were seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash in Daingean, Co Offaly, last Thursday.

They are particularly interested in the movements of a white 172 L registered Toyota Hi-Lux in the area at the time.

Gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of the crash, involving a 4x4 vehicle, which occurred at around 11.50pm on Main Street.

The driver failed to remain at the scene.

The two women, who were passengers in the vehicle, were brought to Midland Regional Hospital, Tullamore, with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses, particularly any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on Main Street in Daingean, between 8pm and 11.50pm, are asked to contact Tullamore Garda Station at 057 9327600, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
