There are fears over the future of hundreds of jobs at financial services firm BNY in Wexford.
It is understood that the 310 jobs at the operation are at risk as part of a global review of real estate assets by BNY.
The company also has offices in Dublin and Cork, but these bases are not expected to be impacted.
Speaking to RTÉ News at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Peter Burke said that BNY is now embarking on a consultation period with employees in Wexford.
"This week, they're having a town hall meeting, and it's very important to say, that there will be options... in terms of remote working and in terms of moving to the Dublin office, and that will be worked through with staff in the coming days," Mr Burke said.
"But we have a very vibrant economy, we have about 2.8 million people employed in our country at the moment, really excelling in FinTech, life sciences and technology," he added.
BNY has been contacted for comment.
