Five people have been arrested and almost 20 petrol bombs were seized as part of ongoing investigations into organised criminal activity in Co Kildare.
The discovery was made at approximately 11.30pm last night when detective gardaí attached to Leixlip Garda Station stopped a car in the Carbury area.
A total of 19 petrol bombs were recovered from a search of the car and four men were arrested.
They are currently being held at a garda station in Co Kildare.

While dealing with the incident, gardaí were confronted by a man in his 40s armed with a knife.
He was arrested, charged and appeared before a sitting of Naas District Court morning.
