Cocaine worth more than €7.2m seized in Rosslare port

Two men were questioned after cocaine worth more than €7.2 million was seized in Co Wexford on Thursday.

The drugs were discovered as part of an intelligence-led operation carried out by Revenue and the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau at Rosslare Europort.

Two men, aged in their 40s and 50s, were arrested on Friday.

They were questioned at garda stations in Wexford and Kerry and have since been released without charge. A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
