A young man has died in a road crash in Co Kildare.
The man, aged in his late teens and who was travelling alone, died in the single vehicle crash, which occurred on the R403 Clane Road at around 10.30pm last night.
The road remains closed and local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses, or any road users who may have camera footage (including dash cam) and who were travelling in the area at the time, are asked to contact Leixlip Garda Station on 01 666 7800, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
The man's death brings to 116 the number of people who have died on Irish roads so far this year.
