The funeral mass has taken place in Longford of Sarah McNally, who died after she was stabbed in the bar where she worked in New York, on 30 March.
Ms McNally, 41, had been living and working in New York for a decade.
Her funeral mass was celebrated at St Mel's Cathedral, led by Fr Michael McGrath.
Ms McNally is survived by her parents and her grandmother, as well as her aunts and uncles.
Her funeral mass was followed by a private cremation.
Ms McNally’s family have requested privacy at this time.
Her former boyfriend, 36-year-old Marcin Pieciek, with an address in Glendale, New York, was charged with murder in the second degree, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, following his arrest last week.
