Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a suspected arson incident overnight at a home in Drogheda.
The incident took place in the Scarlet Crescent area of Drogheda at around 12.30am.
The fire was extinguished by local fire services and a number of occupants in the residence were taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital for assessment. One person remains in hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The scene is currently preserved.
In a statement to RTÉ News, gardaí say that no arrests have been made as of yet and investigations are ongoing.
