Restrictions are in place around a premises in Co Wicklow tonight after an outbreak of bird flu was confirmed in a captive flock.
This is the second confirmed outbreak in the region in recent days; there was also an outbreak recorded in Sutton in Co Dublin last week.
It is understood the outbreak in Wicklow was found in a small flock of mixed-breed birds.
Poultry owners are being warned to remain vigilant for any signs of the disease, but no new restrictions are being put in place.
RTÉ News understands that flocks within 3km of the latest outbreak will be assessed over the coming days.
Avian flu caused by the H5N1 strain has been circulating among wild seabirds in recent weeks.
