A man in his 20s has died following a road collision in Co Kildare.
The incident, involving a pedestrian and a car, happened on the M7 motorway between junction 11 and junction 10 near Naas after 4am.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gardaí said that the occupants of the car did not need hospital treatment.
Forensic investigators attended the scene of the collision, and the M7 was closed to northbound traffic between junction 11 and junction 10 for much of today. However, it has since fully reopened to traffic.
Gardaí are appealing for motorists who may have stopped at the scene of the collision before emergency services arrived to contact them.
