A new visitor attraction in Co Wicklow, which officially opened today, is expected to draw 250,000 visitors within its first full year.
The project, 'Beyond the Trees Avondale', in the Avondale Forest Park includes a 700m treetop walkway and a 12-storey high viewing tower.
It also features a 90m spiral slide, which is said to be the tallest in the country.
The attraction built by EAK Ireland cost €19m to complete and is a collaboration between Coillte and Fáilte Ireland.
Coillte said it is part of its strategy to create more world class visitor destinations and increase recreations spaces.
It is hoped it will encourage more international and domestic visitors to stay longer in the county and the wider 'Ancient East' region.
