A man in his 60s is being treated for serious injuries after an aggravated burglary in his home in Co Carlow on Saturday evening.
At around 11pm, the man was seriously assaulted by three men at his house in the Sleaty Street area of Graiguecullen.
A sum of money was taken from the property and the three men fled the scene in a car.
The man was taken to Saint Luke's Hospital where he is recovering from his injuries.
Gardaí in Carlow are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or to any person with information to come forward and contact them on 059 913 6620.
Gardaí are particularly interested in information on a white Opel or Vauxhall Insignia car seen in the area at this time.
